I know I've been silent the last six or seven months. Sorry about that. I had a terrible loss of creativity that just sapped me dry. I had no new material, and so nothing new to animate.

But good news...I'm back.

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but two weeks ago I sat down at the computer and started to write, and I didn't stop writing until I had 21 brand new scripts for The Boom Boom Happy Fun Yum Yum Hour!!! So as soon as I finished off 21 scripts and had what I felt was a respectable collection for a second season I started to animate. That was about a week and a half ago and after some 12 hour days I have five completely animated and edited episodes ready to go! I'm so excited for you to get to see them. The animation has improved slightly, I know I still have more growth in that department, and I hope to make it during this 21 episode second season. I've started utilizing more multi-room, multi-scene episodes, and the camera has become a big player in my new animations. I think you'll really like what you see.

Anyway, I'll start releasing the episodes next Wednesday. And look for a brand new episode every Wednesday for the next 21 weeks!!!

This week's new episode 'And Me Without My Shades' is now up...and only a day late...sorry about that.

There's a new room in the mix now, the kitchen! Not only that, but two different angles of it. In the weeks to come you can look forward to alternate angles of the living room, TR's bedroom, and perhaps a few more rooms will get thrown in. I'm not sure as I've only just completed episode eight, but lots to look forward to in the weeks to come.

Oh, and is anyone suspicious of Dennis' nightly activities? Is he working on a new invention, or is it something else. Guess you'll just have to keep tuning in to find out, but trust me...it will be made clear soon.

Hope you enjoy the new episode!

It's Wednesday, which means one thing here on this channel: new episode of The Boom Boom Happy Fun Yum Yum Hour. Tonight's episode is titled Special Delivery.

Special Delivery has a lot of stuff in it. Everything you've come to expect (whether good or bad) from the previous episodes of the show, but there are some new/different things to look for:

-The interviewer and interview set-up is gone completely. The promos are over and we're ready for full blown episodes to begin.

-That said, there is now a larger issue of plot being introduced, including plot that spans over the course of several episodes/entire series. The game gets real starting with this episode.

-All four main characters interact together at once. Previously each episode has only featured a few characters. Now they're all their and interplaying. This made voice recording for the episode kinda crazy from here on in (as I'm the one that does all the voices), but at the same time, a lot of fun.

-Tonight also introduces multiple shots and angles of rooms. A more cinematic feel to it, and helps the visual story from becoming stale. Although personally I find this one to be very not-stale.

And those are the big things. I also spent a lot more time putting this one together. There was actually one single frame that I spent about 10-15 minutes on. My attention to detail is becoming more astute...I think so, anyway.

So enjoy tonight's episode: Special Delivery!!!

Tonight's episode is titled It's Not What it Looks Like and introduces you to Dennis and a few other surprises.

Out of everything that's come so far, this is the episode I'm most proud of. I feel like I'm getting better every episode and that's a good thing. That's why I'm doing this mostly, anyway, to get better at it. Every episode I do something new, something that challenges my abilities, and I love that. Tonight a lot of things that I've been teasing at the last few weeks come to fruition. There's more going on on-screen, there's more character interaction, the story visually is much better than the first episode for sure. I'm very proud of this episode, and I've finished the fifth and sixth episode at this time so all I can tell you is that things get even better down the road!!!

So I hope you enjoy tonight's episode.

Well...in the last post I told you all my plan. Air the first four 'promo' episodes of The Boom Boom Happy Fun Yum Yum Hour and then take a month off, collecting any critiques from other animators, the ratings, the reviews. Basically I wanted to let all that information inform the direction the show takes.

Not so much. Last week I finished animating and editing together the fourth 'promo' episode, and it wasn't going up for another two weeks. The day after I finished it I found myself unable to enjoy doing anything other than animating. So for a few days I drew some new rooms and room angles (I've now drawn out both bathrooms AND a side view of the living room). Then I tried to improve some of the art of the characters and the props and scenes. Little tweaks here and there. After a few days, I ran out of stuff to do in the animation program...so I wrote the next episode, recorded all the voices, and started animating it.

So all those plans of taking it easy for a month? That is now a thing of the past. I'm still changing things up as people point things out and the reviews come in, just on a week to week basis.

So look forward to next week's episode: It's Not What it Looks Like, which is the best episode so far, by far!!! I'm so damn proud of it as I spent so much time on it and fine tuned it within an inch of it's life. Then prepare yourself for the weeks and episodes to come!!!

I'm excited to announce that the second episode of The Boom Boom Happy Fun Yum Yum Hour, titled It Takes Some Adjustment, will be premiering here on Newgrounds tonight!!! I've made some technical and animation changes in response to the critique of the first episode. The art is largely the same, with a few minor tweaks, but the biggest change is the new character TR. I was about a third of the way into animating this episode when I released the first episode last week and so TR sort of evolves as the animation goes on. I don't want to ruin the surprise but his movement pattern changes as the episode goes forward. From nothing but arm movements, to occasional movement, to a figure eight hovering pattern, to slight up and down movement as he hovers. Not only is this representetive (kinda) of real world physics, it also is an answer to the first episode being called mostly static, which it was.

So I hope you enjoy tonight's episode, and next week there are a lot of animation improvements, including visual storytelling, perspective, art, character art, the audio is better (I think, if you don't listen closely, you don't notice, so no biggie), and the fourth episode os the culmination of everything I've learned here and elsewhere represented in one episode. So I hope you come back for those, which will be released next Wednesday and the Wednesday following that.

Forgot to put this in the last post, so here it is.

I guess if we were to put things in order, I'm a writer first and an animator second. I put a lot more emphasis in the writing of an animated short because writing is something I'm really good at, whereas I know that animating is something I'm so-so at. So I like to have a strong script for animating, and part of that is not really focusing on the visual story the animation is telling as much as the story story it is telling. For instance, with the first episode the visual story is largely static. A review pointed this out to me and I recognized the problem right away. The script for episode one reads great on paper, but the actual animation is a bit boring visually. This is definitely something I will take into consieration with future episodes.

Unfortunately the second episode, for the first half, is a bit visually static as written as well. I've done some stuff to shake that up and not make it so static. The second half of episode two moves a lot better visually.

Since I've already written the third and fourth episode also, there are a few changes I can make to visually tell a story better, although I think episode four can pretty well stand on its own right now on paper. The third episode I have to throw some visual stuff into, but I already know how to go about that so I'm not worried.

THen, like I said last post, after the first four episodes I'm going to take a break and listen to the critiques and reviews and let them inform where and how I go from there.

This is very exciting for me, getting to grow as an artist. Thank you to the wonderful people who have given frank and honest feedback. I can'[t get any better without it!!!

Well if you haven't checked it out yet, check out the first episode of The Boom Boom Happy Fun Yum Yum Hour below, Web of Intrigue.

It might sound sillyl, but as of right now it's ranked a 1.5, and that excites me. I guess it's because it's feedback. There were two reviews as well to go with it which gave me some critique and ideas on what to work on.

See, I'm completely self-taught, other than a few tutorials on using the animation program. I know I'm lacking in a lot of areas, drawing and art being the top two (that unfortunately, doesn't look like it'll increase a lot anytime soon because I suck at drawing). The problem is that I don't know what to work on, or how to work on it. The one review gave me some solid stuff to work on, and I have!!! Well...kinda. By the time I posted the first episode I was already pretty deep into animating episode two. So any critique or adjustments will happen between episode two and episode three, although through sheer coincidence one of the critiques took care of itself.

While working on episode two I actually learned a few things just by messing around with stuff and experimenting, and I think these enhancements are going to make episode two a lot beter than the first in presentation. It's increased the difficulty of the animation and, thus, increased the time it's taking to animate it dramatically. We're talking hours and hours of extra work, but it's worth it.

And I guess that's sort of the whole reason I'm here at newgrounds, to get better at this. I've got a somewhat solid understanding of how to do this, but I know I can be better. I want to be better, and it's working. Already I've done more in three days then I would have learned in months on my own. This is exciting and I'm looking forward to each episode posting to (hopefully) see those ratings steadily rise.

So the plan right now for the episodes is to complete and release the first four episodes (which are all interviews with the four characters on the show, with other story fun mixed in) the first four weeks, each on Wednesday. Then I'm going to take a couple weeks to soak in all the feedback and criticism of those four episodes and use that to grow as an animator and let that inform the actual run of the series. This could take a month or so, or less, who knows. Then I'll release an episode each week (provided I can keep up with that schedule), or as soon as possible.

That's gonna do it for this update. I have to go back to animating episode two. Almost finished with the animating, to move on to the editing phase. My goal is to finish tomorrow. Try to do one episode a week, meaning I'll start recording the voices for episode three on Sunday and go from there. I hope this update finds you well and I'll be back real soon.

Just wanted to drop a note to say that the first short episode of The Boom Boom Happy Fun Yum Yum Hour will be uploaded to my profile later today, Wednesday 01-10-18. I hope you tune in and enjoy yourself.

The first couple of episodes are all a similair format, with an interviewer 'interviewing' the characters of the show. The idea being that they'll talk a bout what the show is about and give you an idea of what to look forward to. They're not just straight away interviews though, they still have hiijinx that qualify them as an episode of the show...you'll know what I mean when you see it.

So, anyway, yeah, awesomeness begins later today!!!
